Ecological transition

Creating a sustainable future

Our Energy Transition Plan shows the way forward

In line with our commitment to sustainable development, we have developed a comprehensive strategic plan which defines short-term and future goals so that our activities become more respectful of people and the environment every day, while maintaining the level of efficiency you require for your projects.

A comprehensive vision which shows us the path to the future

We want to contribute to the transformation of the energy industry

By balancing the three challenges of the energy trilemma: security of supply, access to services and environmental sustainability.
By seeking to ensure a fair energy transition for people, jobs and the region.
By accompanying you during your transition to more sustainable and efficient solutions.

Our strategic plan goes beyond the search for more efficient and sustainable energy solutions; it represents our desire to contribute to improving the industry and society as a whole.

We look for more efficient and environmentally friendly solutions

  • We advance the transition from diesel to gas and sustainable fuels.
  • We improve energy efficiency.
  • We facilitate hybridisation with renewable energies and energy storage.
  • We are committed to innovation and the digitalisation of energy.

We set deadlines for our goals

2030

· Complete the transition from diesel to gas and sustainable fuels by making use of available technological advances while ensuring a fair transition.

By 2050

· Achieve emissions neutrality in both our corporate activities and our energy solutions.

At the industry level

The generator set industry

since the beginning of 2021, we have been members of EuropGen, the European Generator Set Association. This group is a forum where the biggest brands in the industry come together to reflect, share knowledge and shape the future of generator sets.

Circular economy:

we promote the development of circular economies through our active participation in the Galician Cluster of Environmental Solutions and Circular Economy (VIRATEC in the Spanish acronym), whose goal is to contribute to the economic and social development of Galicia through a wide range of actions.

The employment of technology to ensure the sensible use of natural resources. Reducing the impact of the exploitation of these resources throughout the value chain.

Our strategy involves reducing the impact of waste and the corresponding depletion of natural resources as a consequence of human, industrial and service activities by promoting a circular economy focused on sustainable development.

Renewable energy sources:

climate change is one of the principal concerns facing society today and this is reflected in the rise of renewable energy sources. We share this ecological conscience and seek to lead by example; this is why we have joined Cluergal, the Galician Cluster of Renewable Energy Providers. Its members share our commitment to sustainable energy, a challenge which needs to be addressed collectively.

The mechatronics industry

we are part of the Galician Association of Metal Industries and Associated Technologies (Asime), a group of more than 600 companies from a range of fields (metal mechanics, the aerospace industry, marine energy, etc.).
Its main role is to defend the common corporate and individual interests of its members in areas such as occupational health and safety, the legal system, quality and the environment, foreign trade, training, coaching and employment, information technology and communications.

At the corporate level

Our corporate carbon footprint

with the support of USC’s Sustainable Process Engineering and Management (PRODES) research group, we have launched a project to establish a methodology for determining GENESAL ENERGY’s corporate carbon footprint.

Our products

Stage V

Air quality has become a critical issue around the world, and Europe is no exception. European legislation is becoming increasingly restrictive with regard to pollutant emissions, limiting the quantities of harmful substances that may be emitted in exhaust gases by engines which run on fossil fuels. The efficiency standards for gensets under the new regulatory framework are known as the Stage V requirements. At Genesal Energy we understand the challenges involved in this area, which is why our new range of gensets, both mobile and stationary, uses Stage V engines in accordance with the emissions criteria set out in the regulations.

We are making progress in sustainability every day. If we all do our part, a bright future lies ahead.
